L’associació Una Sola Terra, fundada l’any 1996, recull l’esperit i la tasca del Simposi Internacional Una Sola Terra, una idea iniciada per l’ecologista Santiago Vilanova. S’organitza bianualment a Barcelona des de l’any 1989 i hi han participat els principals activistes i pensadors mundials de l’ecologisme.
Els objectius de l’associació són la defensa del desenvolupament sostenible, de la promoció de les energies renovables, del vulcanisme, de l’ecologia marina, de l’arquitectura bioclimàtica i del dret a la informació ambiental de la població.
